Zandvliet Care Facility is a 24-hour residential facility that provides a variety of options in spacious single or double rooms for independent or assisted living as well as companion rooms for our frail residents on the ground floor.
Whilst the top floor houses a Special Care Unit providing specialized care for the intellectually disabled and mentally challenged individuals.
We have a strong team of people, committed to the care of our residents. Supervised by professionals, our well-trained caregivers and nursing staff take care of the tasks of daily living of our physically, intellectually and mentally frail residents. All staff are offered the opportunity to learn new skills and are always ready to participate in activities, concerts and special events with the residents.
All meals are prepared in our well appointed kitchen. Enjoy all meals in our dining rooms, whilst our staff attend to your laundry needs and servicing of the rooms.
The facility is well-secured and also features our beautiful garden, sun-drenched courtyard, television viewing room and residents are kept occupied by many and varied social and occupational activities.
In order to promote the residents’ quality of life, our Occupational Therapist
assesses every resident and she devises a daily program that suits the individual’s needs and capabilities. This programme includes necessary constructive activities such as physical exercises, mental and sensory stimulation, as well as therapeutic activities to lower frustration levels and promote the creativity and self-worth of the residents.
Together with the Activity Coordinator, our dedicated caregivers as well as a number of volunteers, this activity programme is implemented to enhance the lifestyle and ensure holistic care of every resident.
Our personnel have adopted a small section of our community called Smartie Town and have committed to providing hot meals to approximately 300 children at least once per month. On 1 December 2012, we hosted a Christmas party with shoe boxes filled with goodies for each child. If you would like to get involved, please click here.
